My feared stumble across the street,
eyes only, for my feet.
My destination, still unknown
my shadow left me, on my own.
A cold wind howled,
then i frowned,
then i smiled,
at somethhing i found.
A brown leaf lay,
the brown leaf stayed,
i picked it up,
it changed my day.
One side was alive,
living a life,
the other dead,
brown and not nice.
I compared this leaf,
in disbelief,
to my own ways
and the life i lead.
Sometimes its fine,
green and alight,
other times it's bad,
filled with fright.
But just as the wind, life does change
for me and the leaf,
we have our days,
so differently different,
in many ways.
